Train Platform from Japan

daiso 100 yen store train diorama

diorama train platform

Hey dio fans, good morning to you from Japan!  I'm over here for 2 weeks of vacation and just wanted to show you what I found at the 100 yen store, which is the equivalent to our dollar stores.
Some 100 yen stores have a small toy area and usually you will find a section devoted to trains since they are really into trains in Japan.  They have motorized railway trains, tracks, bridges, columns and much more, all for 100 yen apiece.

In this post I'm going to look at one of those 100 yen railway accessories, the train platform.  It comes packaged in a resealable plastic bag and contains an assembled platform.  I'm guessing HO scale or smaller, so it won't be a perfect match for 1:64 scale cars and trucks but it might work as some kind of background building. It's a good quality plastic unlike the crap plastic dio pieces we get in our dollar stores.  Molded in 3 different colours, I bought a couple possibly to use as gas bars or i might even just re-purpose the roof for something else.  If you can think of other uses, let me know.

  2. Have fun.. You should pickup a cheap high speed train set then you have something at the station add lots of people and lots of cars .Just the seats and looks like garbage pails would be worth the money. It looks like H.O.scale to me .If you ever decide to build a warehouse some day the little station platform would make a neat loading dock and the height is pretty close for a truck to back up to it.
